I first met Ilsa when she was serving as the President of Howard County Association of Student Councils. It was through Ilsa that I learned the ideals of representative leadership. Ilsa was truly committed to the students she served, whether it was through her compassion, integrity, or just her willingness to listen, all of which are characteristics that serve today as she continues to tirelessly and wholeheartedly represent the students of UMBC.
